About the Team

Founded in Feb 2024, the RoboMaster UW-Madison team is kicking off our 2nd season in the RoboMaster North America (RMNA) competition.

As a growing team, we seek excellence in robot performance through learning from successful teams and advanced robotic topics. By integrating knowledge and collaborative efforts from mechanical, electrical, software, and administration teams into every robot, we aim to show our best abilities in every match and become a competitive force in the RMNA community.

What is RoboMaster?

RoboMaster is a series of robotic competitions hosted by DJI. It incorporates video game and esports elements, making the competition rather intense and competitive than other robotic events.

Teams are required to build a fleet of up to 9 robots from scratch in a full-scale competition, in which every robot has their own emphasis on maneuverability / high damage / field detection / aerial and more.

2023 RoboMaster University Championship — a great example of what RoboMaster competitions looks like at the highest level.
